STEAM Teacher

Job Title: STEAMTeacher

We are looking for a STEAM teacher to join our STEAM teacher is responsible for enhancing the science technology engineering arts and mathematics skills of all students in kindergarten through 8th grade. Students learn skills to effectively create collaborate communicate and acquire knowledge in a digital environment. This position provides an opportunity for handson experiments and activities that will strengthen innovative skills with experiences in coding robotics 3D printing drones and computer literacy. This teacher will be responsible for delivering STEMoriented instruction through projectbased learning methods engineering design principles and technology integration.

What you bring to the table

• Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Education or related field
• PA Instructional Certification in Computer Science or relevant field
• Content knowledge in technology engineering arts science and design thinking in addition to classroom management organization planning instructional delivery and technical skills
• Develop and implement effective STEAM lesson plans that engage students and promote learning
• Inquirybased teaching strategies to facilitate learning and foster student curiosity and interest in STEAM fields
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to motivate and build relationships with parents students and staff to promote student achievement and strengthen community partnerships
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Fulltime employment 10months exempt
• This position is for inperson work at our location
• 180 instructional days 197 work days (new staff members work additional days for induction/orientation)
• In some cases the starting salary may be nonnegotiable
• To be eligible to work for Pan American Academy Charter School you must complete and submit background clearances and paperwork prior to your start date. We are able to accept clearances if they are less than one year old from the date a new employee presents them to Human Resources.
