Job Description

Following written instructions assembles a variety of components to produce subassemblies or finished product that meet requirements.

Qualifications/ Responsibilities

  • Has basic knowledge of soldering and can complete a JSTD certification and pass a soldering skill evaluation

  • Assembles handpieces optical products and various types of mechanical pneumatic and electronic products according to written specifications and procedures

  • Capable of reading blueprints and follow work instructions

  • Assembles prepares and molds various types of wire harnesses and cable assemblies

  • Inspects parts assemblies and products throughout the production process

  • Performs production tests on various assemblies subassemblies and final products

  • Uses a variety of hand tools and manual semiautomatic automatic assembly test equipment

  • Understands and complies with ESD requirements

  • Must be willing and able to continually rotate through a variety of manufacturing processes performing all types of tasks in a cell/team environment

  • Must be able to work all scheduled overtime

  • Must have basic understanding of computers

  • Performs preventive maintenance on tools equipment and machines as .

  • Performs other related tasks including housekeeping tasks required to keep work areas clean and organized.

  • Observes all safety rules and regulations including the wearing of protective equipment when .

  • Sustains and maintains 5S standards and all continuous improvement activities

  • Communicates with the other shifts if applicable the status of parts equipment and any other matters that might have an impact on their job.

Requirements:

  • A minimum 6 months experience as an electronic assembler with proven soldering proficiency

  • Must be able to stand for up to eight hours per day ability to move about bends stoops uses hands and lift up to 35 pounds unassisted. Unaided visual acuity or corrected visual acuity should be at least 20/40 in each eye at infinity (20 feet) with the ability to distinguish colors.
