This position provides executive secretarial support activities for the Director of the Division of Epidemiology Data Analytics and Evaluation. Provides a full range of management assistant/executive secretarial activities using considerable independent judgement in making decisions that may be highly confidential and sensitive in nature and taking appropriate actions. Oversees and directs office activities for the division including composing correspondence relaying information and/or assignments to Section Managers and other staff and coordinating clerical workloads within the division when necessary. Also responsible for preparing coordinating and tracking all personnel transactions for the division.

To be considered for this position you must:
Education
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.
Experience
Five years of administrative support experience where use of a personal computer to prepare correspondence reports charts etc. or to enter/retrieve/update information is an essential part of the work including two years equivalent to advanced (8) level administrative support work Secretary E8 or Legal Secretary E8; or one year equivalent to a Secretary 9 Legal Secretary 9 or Senior Executive Management Assistant 9.
Certain positions may require a criminal history background check.
Position Location/Remote Office: The physical location of this position is 333 S. Grand Avenue in Lansing MI. Based on operational needs and within established limits remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered. Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications. If working remotely employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense including:
