WHY JOIN WFP

To provide effective support to the Head of Security of WFP Ukraine and all WFP security team in country in the context of the humanitarian operations within WFPs response in Ukraine to enable the effective delivery of programs and maintain the security and safety of WFP personnel activities and facilities.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:


COORDINATION

Advise to and support to the Head of Security with regard to all security related matters security policies and procedures while maintaining and enhancing line of communication with security focal points in the country. Assist and monitor securityrelated developments in Ukraine especially those related to the security and safety of WFP personnel and programme delivery. Participate in the selection of guard services and related security services. Assist the Head of Security to establish a positive working environment with UNDSS PSA/SAs Field Security Country Officers (FSCOs) and Security Focal Points from other Agency Funds and Programmes (AFPs) and Host Country Authorities as required.


RISK MANAGEMENT & ANALYSIS

Assist the Head of Security to prepare and review Personal Security Risk Assessment (PSRA) and undertake specific Security Risk Management processes as required; Proactively assist the Head of Security during the monitoring of situations and events in Ukraine and gather and analyze information with the aim of identifying emerging trends and providing early warning of any potential threats that may affect the security of WFP staff premises assets and impact programme delivery; Provide an analysis in the Ukraine context highlighting the potential impact this may have on programme delivery.

PLANNING:

Assist the Head of Security to support the mainstreaming of security considerations into programme and emergency preparedness plans as required.

MANAGEMENT:

Assist the Head of Security with regards to security planning emergency/crisis preparedness Emergency Response and Emergency Communications processes in accordance with the country specific situation and security requirements.

MONITORING:

Monitor the compliance of WFP Ukraine Country Office with regards to security recommendations and periodically exercise security procedures/protocols and guidelines including Security Risk Management Measures (SRMM) and WFP Global Security. Assist the Head of Security to review proposals for Area Security Risk Management measures (SRMM) Residential Security Measures (RSMs) local cost shared security budget (LCCSB) and other relevant security documents and provide advice when warranted.

DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT:

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education:
Advanced University Degree in Security Management International Relations
or Law Enforcement or other relevant field or First University degree with additional years of repeated work.


Experience:
Minimum 3 years of relevant postgraduate professional experience in Security Risk Management.

Knowledge & Skills:
Experience in supporting policies in at least 3 operational areas from Security Coordination Security Risk Management & Analysis Security Planning Crisis Management and Compliance Monitoring is essential.

Languages:
Fluency in English language (level C)
