Job Description

This job posting is solely on behalf of and for the sole benefit of LB LNG Constructors General Partnership (LB LNG) irrespective of whether this job posting has been listed on job boards of other legal entities. Any individuals hired from this job posting will be employees of LB LNG.

We are seeking an experienced Serviceperson for an LNG construction project in Squamish BC. You will be an integral part of the LBLNG team who prides themselves on safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating in accordance with quality safety and efficiency standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Operate trucks to safely service heavy equipment as required and directed
  • Conduct pretrip/walkaround safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities
  • Complete equipment inspections report repairs required and assist in scheduling these repairs
  • Complete maintenance records and documentation as required
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
  • Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company client and legislated safety policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Serviceperson on heavy equipment
  • Knowledge of parts and servicing of Caterpillar John Deere & Komatsu equipment types
  • Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Successful completion of preemployment drug & alcohol testing
  • Must have a valid Class 3 License with air brake endorsement
  • Be able to provide clear 3year drivers abstract
  • CSTS2020 or Site Ready BC

Work Conditions:

  • Experienced applicants that reside in Squamish or surrounding areas will be given preference due to the location of this project
  • 14 days on / 7 days off rotational shift 1012 hour work days
  • Onsite accommodation provided
  • Travel allowance / flights provided from approved locations
  • Extended health benefits provided by CLAC

Compensation

$39.36 $39.36

This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level industry experience and work location.

Remote sitebased positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.

Additional Information

Woodfibre Management Ltd a privately held Canadian company based in Vancouver British Columbia is spearheading the Woodfibre LNG Project a proposed Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) export facility currently in the preconstruction phase. Situated near Squamish British Columbia on the site of a former pulp mill the project is a collaboration between Woodfibre LNG and Pacific Canbriam Energy both subsidiaries of Pacific Energy Corporation Limited. Notably the project has secured environmental approvals from the B.C. and Canadian governments as well as from the Squamish Nation. This initiative recognized as the firstever environmental approval by an Indigenous people in the absence of a treaty highlights Woodfibres commitment to responsible and inclusive development. The facility aims to leverage lowemission Canadian natural gas meeting high demand in countries transitioning from coal to natural gas for its environmental benefits. Through the use of renewable hydroelectricity the project strives to become the worlds lowestemission LNG export facility.
