  • Package includes salary depending on experience ($125693 $138510) plus employers contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

The National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader Events to drive the planning and execution of over 150 thirdparty largescale events across New South Wales national parks. In this pivotal role youll lead multidisciplinary teams collaborate with government and private stakeholders and deliver strategically significant events that enhance visitation community engagement and conservation efforts.

What youll do:

  • Oversee largescale event planning logistics and execution.
  • Develop and implement detailed event management plans.
  • Manage budgets timelines and safety protocols.
  • Foster partnerships to elevate tourism and recreation in National Parks.

Youre a proven leader in event management experienced in delivering complex highimpact events. You excel at stakeholder collaboration project management and strategic planning. Passionate about tourism and conservation you thrive in fastpaced environments and are driven to create

Essential requirements

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive experience in a senior project management role managing major public events and complex event projects in the public and / or private sector including outdoor events and incorporating significant budgets and complex deployment.
  • Ability to work after hours including weekends as required.
  • Australian Drivers Licence required.
  • Knowledge and experience
  • Detailed knowledge of the legislative and regulatory requirements governing relationships between event organisers and Government particularly in relation to the coordination and delivery of major public events.
  • Experience in event development and delivery including; project management negotiating with external contractors and consultants planning programming promotions partnerships implementation monitoring and evaluation and risk and WHS management.
