Member Experience Associate and Gifts Coordinator
The Member Experience Associate & Gifts Coordinator provides outstanding support to our members volunteers and customers and supports AUSAs Gifts Program. Position requires the ability to function effectively in a collaborative team environment where team participation and effective interpersonal skills are necessary along with strong telephone skills and excellent business etiquette. Additionally the candidate will research and evaluate new grant funding opportunities aligned with AUSAs mission support the preparation of grant proposals and ensure timely submission and compliance with all grant reporting requirements.

MEMBERSHIP DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answers inbound telephone calls as part of a member support team. Communicates with members by phone email traditional mail and fax regarding all aspects of the distribution of AUSA materials products and information including but not limited to membership meeting registration publications refunds and receipts.
- Ensures that all information released to members and vendors meets AUSAs quality standards. Solicits interest in new or additional programs or services that are available to members. Regularly communicates with other AUSA staff to ensure that information being released to members is accurate and consistent.
- Assists members with navigation through the AUSA website including username and password resets locating and printing membership cards locating member benefits and finding past publications.
- Processes membership applications renewal forms invoices receipts and updates member records to ensure information released to members is accurate
- Researches analyzes resolves and documents member complaints billing discrepancies and makes necessary adjustments or escalates the issue to the appropriate level for immediate investigation and resolution.
- Utilizes available training and educational resources to support continued learning and development in the membership profession.
- As assigned participates in special initiatives e.g. membership campaigns such as AUSAs Annual Meeting auditing surveying filing training researching and providing technology solutions.
GIFTS PROGRAM DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works closely with the Gifts Program Manager to support the planning coordination and execution of program activities and fundraising efforts. Engages in regular checkins with the Gifts Program Manager Membership Deputy Director and Membership Director.
- Researches and evaluates new grant funding opportunities aligned with AUSAs mission. Identifies and tracks grant opportunities that align with AUSAs mission and programming. Supports the preparation of grant proposals and ensures timely submission and compliance with all grant reporting requirements. Tracks deadlines deliverables and reporting requirements to ensure timely followup and accountability.
- Maintains organized documentation and files related to grants donors and program activities. Supports data collection entry and management of the Gifts Program activities and fundraising metrics.
- Assists in the creation and implementation of donor recognition strategies and ensures timely impactful donor communications. Helps implement donor recognition strategies and maintains regular communication to highlight impact of contributions. Assists in developing and maintaining relationships with current and prospective donors to enhance fundraising success.
- Conducts market research to identify emerging trends and information on new fundraising strategies
- Provides support and coordination for staff and volunteers involved in fundraising campaigns and events.
- Pursues ongoing professional development to strengthen fundraising and grant program.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 23 years of experience in membership fundraising customer service or administrative operations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; accurate data entry; and strong member service work ethic.
- Excellent technology skills and experience with databases strongly preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
