You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAssist in supporting youth grades K8 in partnership with our OutofSchool Time (OST) Programs a program of East Side Neighborhood Services. This role is vital in promoting academic success through the facilitation of enrichment activities in coordination with Minneapolis Public Schools. Responsible for engaging youth through creative instructional methods building meaningful relationships and promoting various academic social and emotional program outcomes during our summer program.
This seasonal parttime position is for up to25 hours per week Monday Thursday from 9:30am 3:30pm.The 2025 program session runs June 23 through July 31 2025. Inperson training to be held on June.
Responsibilities
Education and Experience
Two or more years of college or postsecondary education in teaching social work or school counseling is required.
Minnesota School Licensure in teaching social work or school counseling is a plus.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Experience working with diverse urban youth and community populations.
Possesses knowledge of the state of Minnesota and Minneapolis Public Schools educational standards.
Experience in teaching youth in areas of literacy STEM and/or social emotional learning.
Experience facilitating to and managing youth groups of 1020 participants.
Bilingual in either Spanish Oromo and/or Somali preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid MN Drivers License and proof of auto insurance. Dependable transportation is required.
Minnesota School Licensure a plus (bonus pay for licensure).
CPR and First Aid Certification preferred.
ESL Teaching Certificate preferred.
