Location:Longmore House Edinburgh (with hybrid working if applicable)
Working Hours:Full time (35 hours per week; 5 out of 7 days). Some evening and weekend work may be required
Interviews:To be held in person at Longmore House Edinburgh on Week Commencing 30th of June.
As a Learning Support Assistant you will engage with a wide range of customers to provide information and guidance about access and activities for learning groups; process bookings; work collaboratively with a range of colleagues; and support the wider team in a variety of ways. Underpinning all aspects of the role is a strong focus on both external and internal customer service.

Key Responsibilities of this role
Working alongside the Learning Support Coordinators and the other Learning Support Assistant you will interact with customers and colleagues by phone and email to provide information about learning access schemes and activities and process associated bookings. Specific duties include:
- Be a first point of contact for enquiries and provide information and guidance about HES learning services
- Process visit and activity bookings from initial enquiry through to booking confirmation
- Compile and issue weekly bookings diaries and create reports on the Galaxy System
- Provide support to the wider team. This may involve providing administrative or operational support for learning activities and events at HES sites or external venues

Essential Criteria:
- Experience of providing a high standard of customer service
- Experience of communicating with customers/clients by phone and email
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Word Outlook and Excel
- Ability to work accurately and with attention to detail
- Ability to deliver to deadlines and services standards
