The Role
We are looking for an Events Fringe Manager to play a key role in delivering a diverse portfolio of fringe events from inception to completion across all Party Conferences. In this role you will take the lead on a variety of events including receptions interviews breakfast briefings and bespoke events at Conference.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple smallscale fringe events from start to finish including coordination with multiple clients.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.
- Ensure events run smoothly from conception to delivery meeting all agreed plans and timelines.
- Manage and coordinate all speakers and content sessions.
- Draft speaker invitations briefing documents and copy for all event promotion.
- Brief and liaise with internal and external design and production teams on a variety of materials including adverts websites HTMLs listings flyers and invitation cards and other relevant online/offline material.
- Manage the delegate registration ensuring accurate capture of session choices and personal requirements (e.g. accessibility needs).
- Collaborate with the Event Assistant to manage content development and updates for the website with the opportunity to update your own events.
- Liaise with the Head of Events to determine and confirm AV requirements for your fringe events.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external clients managing expectations.
- Take end to end responsibility for the technical and production aspects of multiple events ensuring alignment to strategic goals and client needs.
- Provide guidance and support to the Events Project Assistants within the team.
- Be available to attend all conferences involved in this project currently including the Liberal Democrat Labour and Conservative Conferences which will require travel and overnight stays.
Experience and Knowledge
- Experience in a similar role or at a comparable level.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple events and projects simultaneously.
- Proven experience in managing largescale event or conference programmes including speaker liaison and management.
- Copywriting skills for eventrelated materials such as invitations and marketing content with experience using databases (e.g. Eventsforce).
Proven experience of digital marketing with an active interest in websites and social media. - Strong communication skills.
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Excellent time management with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Flexible proactive and highly organised with a problemsolving mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word PowerPoint Excel and Outlook.
- Proven experience working with commercial clients with a strong sensed of commercial awareness.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Awareness of current UK and EU political and public affairs is desirable.
- Experience in organising political events particularly at conferences is an advantage.

Please note: This is a fixedterm fulltime position for a duration of four months running from midJune to midOctober. The fulltime equivalent (FTE) salary isand the final salary will be prorated based on the length of the contract.
