These are fulltime opportunities on a permanentbasis. The roles will be based in 10 South Colonnade Canary Wharf London. Please be aware that this role can only be worked in the UK and not overseas.
Government departments and agencies are working towards implementing a minimum 60% attendance in office sites.
We are currently implementing a flexible hybrid way of working with a minimum of 8 days per month working on site to enable the collaboration and contact with partners and stakeholders needed to deliver MHRA business. Attendance on site is driven by business needs so depending on the nature of the role this can flex up to 12 days a month with the remainder of time worked either remotely or in the office. Some roles will need to be on site more regularly.

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency enhances and improves the health of millions of people every day through the effective regulation of medicines and medical devices underpinned by science and research.
The Partnerships group is responsible for shaping policy to guide the MHRAs operations for developing the national and international partnerships that the MHRA needs to be successful and for transforming and modernising the legal regime for medicines and medical devices which underpins the MHRAs work.
We are working on issues that are at the heart of public health fast safe access to medicines and medical devices working with industry and other health Arms Length Bodies; tackling public health regulatory issues as they arise; and supporting the future of the life sciences industry in the UK. We do all this while ensuring the voice of patients is at the heart of our work.
Whats the role
We are recruiting two G7 Principal Policy Specialist roles to join the Partnerships group one role in the Policy Team and one role in the Regulatory Reform Team. Please specify in your application if you have a preference for either of the two roles.
The Policy Team within Partnerships drives MHRA policy development on crosscutting areas and ensures consistency and high quality of the Agencys core policy activities. The team has a strong reactive crossAgency role. We are responsive to emerging policy issues problem solving and leading high profile regulatory policy development. Current examples include offering Government advice on the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill. We work collaboratively with the MHRAs technical subject matter experts and other Government departments to find the right answer to complex policy questions focusing on patient safety and public health. This enables team members to develop expertise across a range of regulatory areas giving significant personal development opportunity.
The Regulatory Reform Team leads the MHRAs legislative changes to modernise and improve the regulatory regime for UK medicines and medical devices manages our relationship with Europe and how our regulatory regime interacts with EU work collaboratively with subject matter experts across the MHRA drawing views from external stakeholders and other Government departments to understand complex regulatory challenges develop solutions and implement new legislation where required.
The roles will involve some line management responsibilities with potential matrix management of other colleagues to deliver specific projects.
