Weekend Receptionist/Activities Coordinator

The Donnington Care Home Wantage Road Newbury Berkshire RG14 3BE

CQC rating: GOOD

rating: 9.7/10

Salary from 12.80 up to 13.80 per hour depending on experience

Saturday and Sunday

8am 1pm Activities Coordinator. 1.30pm 4pm Reception

Youll help us make health happen by:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for all visitors to the home
  • Taking responsibility for managing new enquiries
  • Providing advice and support both face to face and over the phone
  • Running morning activity sessions.
  • Producing and updating an activity planner for the home working to a set activities budget
  • Organising birthday surprises for our residents
  • Liaising with external companies and performers from the local community to organise days out/events at the home

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

Youve worked as a Receptionist before with experience in providing excellent customer service youll have a friendly manner both face to face and over the phone. Youre approachable and organised and have the ability to build strong relationships with our residents their families and internal teams.

An activity coordinator in our care home is like the chief fun officer. They create a vibrant joyfilled atmosphere for our residents. They dream up exciting events and hobbies that residents will love. Think arts and crafts baking book clubs and even pub quizzes
