Join Our Team as an Emergency Department Consultant: Deliver Expert Care and Lead the Way in the Riverland Community

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Department Consultant to join our team and provide highquality emergency medical services within the Riverland community and the broader Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network (RMCLHN). This is your opportunity to deliver exceptional care while taking on a leadership role in education training and operational management.

About the Role:

As an Emergency Department Consultant you will:

  • Provide clinical services of the highest standard in the Emergency Department across a 24/7 roster
  • Work with limited or no direction exercising a high degree of professional judgment and clinical competence in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Take responsibility for the smooth daytoday management of the clinical floor
  • Respond to hospital MET/Code Blue/Code Black calls as required by allocation on shift
  • Provide supervision training and direction to more junior staff as needed
  • Participate in teaching and quality assurance activities while also engaging in health promotion and community education initiatives

If you are an experienced Emergency Department Consultant with a passion for patient care leadership and teaching we would love to hear from you.

What Were Looking For:

  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.
  • Must hold a specialist qualification with the following colleges RACGP ACRRM and ACEM and be registrable as a specialist with AHPRA
  • Granted specialist registration by the medical board for relevant specialty eg. G/P ACEM.
