JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
This position is for Civic SciTech Trainee(s) to work with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) on the Environmental Stewardship Fund Project

Position Summary:The PA Office of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation is seeking up to two (2) dedicated Civic SciTech Trainees to join our team for a project focused on evaluating the Environmental Stewardship Fund (ESF) and its impacts on Pennsylvanias waters. The Civic SciTech Trainee(s) will conduct research analyze data and provide recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of the ESF. The acquisition of the data necessary for the project will be conducted in collaboration with CBF program staff. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to environmental policy and conservation efforts in Pennsylvania.

Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a strong interest in database analytics research evaluation and interpretation and be adept at organizing data and conducting thorough analyses to provide actionable recommendations. An interest in the application of data in environmental/conservation finance policy science or related fields is desired. While an understanding of state government roles in addressing largescale environmental issues is preferred it is not required. Candidates should have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with periodic oversight and direction. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) is necessary.
Time Commitment: Approximately 1520 hours per month including 30minute weekly meetings.
Duration:June through December 2025
