Bede Polding College is seeking a passionate and innovative Secondary Music Teacher and Extra Curricular Music Leader for a fulltime permanent role commencing in Term 3 2025. This position also includes a 12 month temporary 1point time and pay allocation for extracurricular music coordination.
The successful candidate will:
Foster a deep understanding of students and their learning styles through inclusive learnercentred pedagogy
Demonstrate expertise in Music teaching across Stages 4 to 6 utilising a variety of teaching methods strategies and technologies such as notation programs digital audio workstations and sound systems
Manage tuition and ensemble programs effectively
Lead instrumental and worship ensembles as well as direct large group singing rehearsals (preferred)
Collaborate with the learning team to design and implement effective teaching programs in line with data the Colleges strategic direction curriculum and available resources
Show a strong commitment to the values of Catholic Education and actively support the academic pastoral and Catholic aspects of College life
Assess student learning provide feedback and report on progress
Participate in professional development initiatives alongside staff
Engage professionally with colleagues parents and the community including organising events concerts and performances for the College and beyond
Have experience teaching Stage 6

Qualifications and Requirements:
Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation (Working with Children Check clearance)
Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
A tertiary qualification (minimum 4year degree)
