JOB QUALIFICATIONS

- Temporary Athletic Team Coaches shall give evidence of meeting minimum requirements by one or more of the means listed below:
- Possession of a validFirstAid and CPR card. Coaching experience at the High School level is strongly desired.
- Demonstrate competency and experience in the sport applying for i.e. certification or rating by a recognized association of the sport being coached or a course workshop clinic or participation in the specific sport for at least one (1) year at Varsity level
- Must successfully complete an interview related to the coaching skills and philosophy of the sport being interviewed for.
- Must be able to clear all training required by the district to be considered a coach such as NFHS Fundamental of Coaching Sudden Cardiac Arrest Concussion Protocol Heat & Illness Prevention etc.
The final candidate will be required to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching certification NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest certification NFHS Concussions in Sports certification NFHS Heat & Illness Prevention as well as Perris Union High School District Human Resources required documents and safety training.
