Position Summary:
As the Lead Field Supervisor you will drive the success of initial teacher certification candidates within our EPP by leading the coordination coaching and performance tracking throughout their program. You will collaborate closely with EPP staff instructors field supervisors campus leaders and mentor teachers to cultivate highly effective aspiring educators. This role offers significant development opportunities with program leadership dedicated to fostering your coaching skills knowledge mindset and disposition.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Masters degree in Education Educational Leadership Curriculum and Instruction Special Education ESL/Bilingual Education or related field (preferred)
- Current and valid Texas teaching certification for 180 EPP certification area(s) ()
- Current and valid Texas Principal certification (preferred)
Experience:
- 5 years of teaching experience in Texas public school
- Supervisory experience (preferred)
- Experience with fieldbased teacher education (preferred)
- Experience with instructional technology including online learning and data management systems (preferred)
- Certified as a TTESS appraiser (preferred)
- Demonstrate knowledge of Teach Like a Champion strategies ()
- Experience with implementation of Teach Like a Champion strategies (preferred)
- Shall not be employed by the same school where the candidate being supervised is completing their internship

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist with the hiring training and coordination of 180 EPP Field Supervisors
- Complete Teach Like a Champion training
- Complete staterequired TEAapproved Field Supervisor Observation Training (or maintain valid TTESS appraiser certification)
- Complete ResponsiveEd 180 EPP Field Supervisor Training
- Serve as a professional reliable and growthoriented mentor to 180 EPP field supervisors and candidates by being accessible providing instructive feedback and maintaining all paperwork to ensure all field supervision and candidacy requirements are met
- Provide guidance and support to the 180 EPP field supervisors candidates and mentor teachers
- Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with the ResponsiveEd Texas College Preparatory Academies (TCPA) charter district and schools
- Observe assess and evaluate candidates throughout their program coursework and training.
- Participate in all program assessments and complete and collect all required documentation.
- Create and maintain a professional friendly and productive relationship with the EPP field supervisors candidates mentor teachers and the campus administration
- Complete training in and build fluency with program software systems and learning management systems (i.e. Canvas) for managing coursework and data related to educator preparation
- Maintain effective communication with the Program Director Certification Officer and 180 EPP Field Supervisors
- Willing and able to travel to supervision sites within a specific geographical region
- All other related duties as assigned
