The Opportunity
The Recovery Specialist role at Resolution Life is a critical position designed to support our mission of delivering exceptional recovery and returntowork outcomes for our customers. This role requires a professional with a background in Psychology or an Occupational Therapist with demonstrated mental health experience as it involves complex case reviews and the development of tailored evidencebased recovery strategies. The Recovery Specialist works closely with Case Managers to provide expert guidance on rehabilitation coordination disability management and recovery planning ensuring that each customer receives a holistic and personcentred approach to their recovery journey.
As the primary escalation point for medical functional and occupational matters the Recovery Specialist plays a key role in shaping the direction of complex claims. They are responsible for identifying when to involve internal and external specialists and for coaching Case Managers to enhance their decisionmaking and case management capabilities. This role also contributes to the continuous improvement of our recovery model helping to drive innovation and consistency across our transTasman operations.
Success in this role requires a strong ability to interpret diverse information sources including medical psychosocial and occupational data and translate them into actionable strategies. The Recovery Specialist must be proactive analytical and commercially aware with the ability to manage rehabilitation provider outcomes and contribute meaningfully to strategic discussions. This is a unique opportunity to influence recovery outcomes at scale while working in a collaborative forwardthinking environment.
This role offers a Permanent fulltime contract and embraces flexible working arrangements. Youll have the freedom to work remotely with occasional office attendance required on an ad hoc basis ensuring a harmonious balance between business needs and personal flexibility.
Your Story

Background in Psychology or Occupational Therapy (with mental health experience) required ideally with rehabilitation experience or professionals currently working in life insurance or healthrelated insurance sectors such as workers compensation CTP or life insurance.
Exposure to strategically assessing medical and/or disability claims an advantage
Extensive experience in dealing with complex illnesses and injuries
Proven coaching and mentoring capabilities
Understanding of the Risk Insurance market and associated products will be advantageous
