About the Role
Mater Private Hospital Mackay are seeking expressions of interest from internal Registered Nurses to step up into an After Hours Manger role in a relief capacity.
This position would suit a highly skilled Registered Nurse who is ready to take the next step in their career.
The role requires a high attention to detail and someone who is comfortable in leading and managing the daily operation within a team.
Salary Range: $66.85 $72.58 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation andaccess to notforprofit salary packaging up to $15900access to many staff benefits!
What youll be doing
The After Hours Nurse Manager is responsible for:
- Supporting/mentoring staff to achieve the desired patient outcomes.
- Safe efficient effective management of the facility along with providing leadership and oversight to clinical areas outside business hours.
- Escalating as necessary to the Leadership Team member on call.
- Managing and allocating resources that are aligned to patient demand and budget allocations
About you
To be successful in your application you will have:
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) relevant to the necessary scope of practice
- Minimum five (5) years of clinical experience across critical care environment
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) and PLS certification or willingness to obtain
- Knowledge and experience of the facility requirements and standards
- Prior comparable experience in a leadership/supervisory role in a healthcare environment
- Postgraduate qualifications in nursing Critical Care ICU CCU or ED
- Demonstrated analytical and reportwriting skills
- Demonstrated leadership human resource and business skills
