Job Description
NACFPPT Planning and Execution BI team (PLEXBI) is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to help us revolutionize supply chain planning for North America. This role will engage with stakeholders ranging from technical partners to senior supply chain leadership to BI solutions that automate and enhance planning processes. Leading both 0to1 data visualizations and optimization of existing artifacts this role aims to improve efficiency for operational planning across the Customer Fulfillment space working on programs that impact more than 1 million employees and countless customers.
Successful attributes include effective communicator and leader of various levels and audiences the capacity to remain flexible and adept at learning new tools and the facility to implement new systems within a team atmosphere.
Our environment is deadline driven and fast paced and therefore requires detailoriented individuals comfortable interacting or working with multiple teams (business and technical). As you further your career as a Business Intelligence Manager you will focus on improving corporate reporting frameworks and data visualization. You will build capacity solutions for the growing managed businesses. You will solve real world problems and build metrics and business cases to improve decision making.
Key job responsibilities
Centralize reporting and synthesize insights to deliver predictive insights and recommendations for optimization.
Build solutions and drive strategies for organizational wide operational excellence and operational programs to evolve day to day reporting mechanisms.
Work with teams from across Amazon to improve data quality within their respective products and platforms.
Work with software developers / data engineers to improve data quality and drive operational excellence for data ingestion transformation and publication to ensure confidence in the systems we build.
Champion and actively develop a datacentric approach acting as coach mentor champion and inhouse expert within the SIA team.
Be a doer as well as a leader.
Be a data and analytics expert that your team can turn to for assistance. Be able to produce individual analytics and guide individual contributors across the team.
10 years of professional or military experience
5 years of SQL experience
Experience programming to extract transform and clean large (multiTB) data sets
Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
Experience with AWS technologies
Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval data science machine learning and data mining
Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
Experience managing analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
Masters degree in statistics data science or an equivalent quantitative field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
