Delta Dental of Kentucky is looking for a dynamic individual to fill the role of Business Intelligence Analyst in our Louisville Kentucky office.
Job Summary The responsibility of this role is to gather analyze and compile data needed to identify trends and patterns then make recommendations for business actions for Delta Dental of Kentucky Inc.
Primary Job Responsibilities - Own and improve business intelligence reporting and processes.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators.
- Create analyses that are effective and easy to interpret to provide actionable insight to support business functions.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to solve business problems.
- Work with cross functional teams to understand business use cases and requirements and be able to accurately build reporting for those use cases.
- Identify markets for future product development and methods to improve business processes by analyzing trends.
- Compile business intelligence or trends to support actionable recommendations.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry and business trends through communication with professional organizations suppliers customers competitors and other informed individuals.
- Summarize financial and economic data reports for review by executives managers clients and stakeholders.
- Perform other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the Primary Job Responsibilities as described above.
Minimum Qualifications Position requires a bachelors degree in mathematics statistics business management economics accounting finance or computer and information science and 3 years experience in a related role. Masters degree preferred. Will accept any suitable combination of education training or experience.
Position requires experience working with complex datasets using SQL; working knowledge using business intelligence tools like MS SQL Server PowerBI Python R etc; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software; demonstrated ability to collect and compile relevant data; excellent verbal and written communication skills; great attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to evaluate complex information and think systematically along with strong business analysis skills; able to work well independently and as part of a team; possess a thorough understanding of the companys business processes and the industry at large.
