Job Description

Description

The Instructional Designer is responsible for the development of sales product and product technical training materials for both internal and external audiences. The Designer works closely with product management R&D marketing and sales teams to determine requirements and gather content and develops presentations handson exercises and other materials for inperson webinar and LMSbased training for plumbers distributors and other audiences.


This position will serve our Water Heater Division located in Roswell GA.



Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with sales product management and engineering teams to deeply understand new product developments.
  • Partner with sales customer experience product and marketing teams to identify training needs for both new and existing products.
  • Develop comprehensive training content to support product launches and ongoing product education ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and product messaging.
  • Use a defined design framework to create engaging learning materials including presentations videos and online learning objects for various training platforms such as inperson sessions webinars and LMSbased training.
  • Conduct training sessions as required including leading webinarbased training and supporting inperson training efforts.
  • Liaise with external agencies and partners to develop and deliver highquality training content.
  • Collaborate with customer call centers including tech support and order centers to address training needs and ensure consistent messaging.
  • Be prepared for periodic travel as needed to support training initiatives.


Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 3 years Instructional Design or Learning & Development experience
  • 2 years of elearning development experience
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles adult learning theory assessment strategies and educational technologies
  • Proficiency in authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline Adobe Creative Cloud and/or similar software
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Preference for those with extensive experience in ClickUp
  • Creative problemsolving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and knowledge of SCORM standards.
