Job Description
Amazon seeks a Finance Manager to join the WW Books Finance team. The successful candidate will be thoughtful analytical and have a demonstrated ability to effectively influence the decisions of senior business leaders through effective verbal and written communication financial analysis logical reasoning and the presentation of alternatives. The role operates in a fastpaced global resultsoriented environment and will provide decision support and advice for key business leaders.
Key job responsibilities
Controllership of the US business
Lead and participate as the key finance stakeholder in cross functional teams
Implement and drive the core financial processes and reporting for the business including Annual Operating Plans Long Term Plans and Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews
Identify operating improvements deep dive on cost structures and analyze business opportunities/investments.
Leading ad hoc financial analyses and root cause investigations

This is a finance business partner role leading US Finance for the Books business. The role involves:
Owning full P&L controllership and business partnership from top to bottom line
Overseeing the business across both print and digital formats
Works closely with business leaders on vendor negotiations profitability and topline planning
About the team
The scope of this role is broad with high visibility multiple marketplaces and P&L accountability across different product formats. This presents a great opportunity for someone looking to take on significant business leadership responsibilities and grow their skills.
5 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
BA or BS in Finance Accounting Business Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g. Engineering Math Computer Science) and 5 years of finance experience or Masters degree and 3 years of finance experience
MBA or CPA
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
6 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
6 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits) experience
Experience working with largescale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting budgeting and variance analysis and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
