Seeking a Systems & Cloud Engineer to provide expert technical leadership and advocacy for innovative solutions to ensure technology designs and decisions deliver sustainable efficient secure and integrated solutions in support of the Technology Transformation Project.
Job details
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Implement and maintain ASCs cloud infrastructure in alignment with cloud strategy and platform architecture.
- Configuring and managing cloud services optimising system performance and ensuring security and troubleshooting issues.
- Providing technical support to ASC staff in assigned projects.
- Produce high quality detailed documentation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs and requirements.
- Support delivery of additional activities on an as needs basis.
Key requirements of the successful candidate must have skills and experience with (mandatory):
- Cloud services such as compute storage and databases across major cloud platforms (Azure AWS and GCP).
- Implementing messaging solutions using Azure Service Bus to support microservices eventdriven architecture and enterprise integration needs.
- Containerisation (Kubernetes Red Hat OpenShift)
- Managing hybrid environments (cloud and onpremise).
- Cloud networking principles
- Optimisation of cloud resource utilisation to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Leveraging infrastructureascode configurationascode and complianceascode.
- SSO integrations
- Utilisation of automation tools.
- Government cyber security frameworks (ISM Essential 8 PSPF)
The following additional skills and experience would be of benefit:
- DevOps and implementation of CI/CD pipelines
- Traditional onpremise infrastructure services (datacentre virtualisation compute storage network and backup)
- Monitoring and loggingacross a hybrid environment
Contract: 12 Months Contract with 2 x 12 months contract extension.
Security Required: Must have a Baseline Security Clearance
Location ACT NSW VIC based Hybrid Flexibility with working from home and in the office and working hours. We request you are in the office at least 3 days per week
