The Program Coordinator II under general supervision works collaboratively with leadership to plan develop and implement programs for the Office of Alumni Affairs.
This position may pay more than the salary listed above depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
Responsibilities:
Develops establishes and manages short and longterm goals strategies initiatives events and programs to engage Prairie View A&M University Alumni and supporters.
Plans and develops specialized programs such as ceremonies live and virtual events and meetings to facilitate program goals. Evaluates monitors and maintains metrics of events & program performance.
Take initiative and work independently and collaboratively with other groups to achieve specific outcomes by established deadlines. Effectively prioritize tasks and manage concurrent projects. This position is needed to bridge the gap between our Alumni and the University.
Undertake various administrative and program management tasks. Will help plan and organize programs and activities and carry out important operational duties. The goal will be to facilitate the effective management of programs according to the organizations standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree.
Four years of related experience.
Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing spreadsheet and database applications.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Other Requirements:
May be required to work beyond normal office hours to include some evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
Tech savvy proficient in MS Office and digital content.
Excellent timemanagement and organizational skill.
Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and/or special events keeping programs on schedule and functioning smoothly.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Detailoriented and efficient.
Close attention to details with the ability to plan ahead
Ability to work under pressure.
Interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communication.
