Job Description
We are looking for a fulltime Maintenance Apprentice position to repair commercial buildings. Candidates must have a valid drivers license reliable vehicle have basic knowledge of hand tools and willingness to learn. Ability to stand walk kneel crawl climb bend for extended periods of time. Be able to lift push pull and carry a minimum of 30lbs up to 50lbs up several stairs etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs
- Light experience with painting drywall plumbing electrical andgrounds maintenance.
- Good customer service skills to interact with property managers vendors customers etc.
- Able to lift push pull a minimum of 30lbs up to 50lbs be able to reach overhead grasp objects bend kneel crawl squat climb stretch walk walk up/down stairs and climb a ladder.
- Ensure mechanical equipment and systems are working in order and fixed as necessary.
- Perform any additional maintenance related duties as required by supervisor
- Create purchase order
- Working alongside with the Maintenance team to meet and exceed customer needs
- On the job training towards Maintenance Technician position
Skills/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma GED or equivalent.
- Must have a valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Good communication skills
- Able to read write and respond to text messages
- Customer service oriented
- Keep accurate records of time cards checkout forms and any job related paperwork.
- Willingness to learn and improve
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am4:30pm subjective to emergencies oncall on weekends and holidays.
Compensation: $18/per hour
