Job Duties
This position will plan research and create social media content to support DCRs programs and services; ensure that written materials contain accurate and easytoread content that aligns with the goals of DCR; assist with managing the creation of new blog articles and updating existing content; assist in developing marketing strategies and tactics to promote DCRs programs and services; utilize editorial calendars and social media marketing plans; collaborate with the PCMO team State Parks personnel and other divisions to develop content for social media; manage assigned social media channels for state parks and DCR; monitor and report customer engagement related to DCRs social media platforms; assist with customer relations and reputation management; work collaboratively and constructively with supervisor coworkers and external stakeholders; and utilize excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) is the states lead conservation agency and it takes a diverse agency to conserve resources for a diverse commonwealth.
