BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The Graphic & Visual Communication Specialist is responsible to provide graphic & visual communication direction to the global Food Security Cluster (gFSC) team and country level clusters. He will supervise the documents produces by the gFSC and promote visibility identity awareness and recognition ensuring visual communication approaches are aligned with FSC strategies. He will manage the publications updates and dissemination of documents both online and offline and be accountable for the gFSC graphic and visual communication strategies through media production and social media management. He will be the product manager for the website improve user experience manage all users and be the focal point with IT and external web developers. Produce displays promotional materials adhoc presentations to present in the different events. Facilitate technical sessions during trainings design reports publications dashboards and newsletters. Create and launch surveys for partners and staff develop analysis and reports. Support all countries with technical requests issues graphic design and supervise their work ensuring the FSC identity is maintained. Use creative approaches to communicate and share data graphically developing new templates digital story maps and interactive reports. Manage the mailing lists and shared mailboxes of the Food Security Cluster.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promote and strengthen gFSC branding and knowledge management by managing and developing all publications reports factsheets flyers and templates. Develop and implement graphic and visual communications strategies for the FSC both print and digital engaging targeted audiences. Desktop publish reports manuals and advocacy in close collaboration with communication officer. Manage social channels and digital campaigns for the Food Security Cluster raising awareness and visibility. Lead the development of visual products producing highquality content including print infographic small videos and online materials for digital communications and social channels. Supervise the implementation of graphic design guidelines on all publications at global and country level. Deliver creative and innovative ideas for high level presentation. Design communication and visibility material for events meeting and trainings. Manage the gFSC website and liaise with developers and IT staff. Develop new webpages for high level events and emergency context. Manage the email accounts and mailing lists for FSC global and field staff. Provide technical support to country and global staff with emails sharepoint and online accounts web credentials online tools webinars and meetings and other requests as needed. Responsible for all web related and digital tasks: newsletters bulletins and creation of online surveys and reports through the use of specific tools (Campaign Monitor Survey Monkey Qualtrics and other). Oversee work of external providers for the cluster email web services and all related IT matters. Manage and support team with large online meetings and webinars through the use of dedicated online platforms. Use creative approaches to communicate and share data graphically developing new templates digital story maps interactive reports. Elaborate and develop PowerPoint and online presentations using new tools (Sway Prezi). Manage social channels in collaboration with the communication officer. Implement the communication strategy deliver communication content and key messages in collaboration with communication officer. Focal point with WFP IT for the management of the Food Security Cluster IT solutions. Support the team with the organization of material for trainings meetings retreats. Data visualisation in close collaboration with IM team. Web content creation and management including improvement of User Interface and Experience. Administer analytics for website visits pages social interactions. Any other duties as assigned within gFSC and the emergency division.
DELIVERABLES:
Elaborate and develop engaging visual communication products. Manage social channels raising the Food Security Cluster awareness and visibility. Provide all graphic and technical support to field and global staff. Manage the gFSC website improving the look feel and usability. Manage the email database and email accounts for all users. Produce and develop all graphic products; including guidelines style guides templates infographics.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
Degree or specialized training course in Graphic Design or closely related field.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience in Graphic design specialized work.

Excellent command of written and oral English.
