Mercers Career business helps organisations design and execute sophisticated workforce strategies whether its for a multinational organisation or a local company attempting to grow within its market. We provide bestinclass consulting rigorous analytics and datadriven insights that help organisations make factbased decisions.
Mercers Reward & Talent (R&T) practice sits within the UK Career team. Reward and Talent supports clients through three core areas: strategic consulting productised solutions and products including a range of surveys software and tools that ensure HR professionals can provide a first class service to their organisation.
In order to drive growth we require an individual who will be able to support in the management & growth of existing clients whilst strengthening existing client relationships and developing new business through relationship management support of product sales and helping to create opportunities within our productised solutions suite of services.
We will count on you to:
Mercer has over 3500 clients across the UK. Many of these are not currently purchasing R&T products or productised solutions. We require a selfstarter who will support sales executives in engaging with these existing Mercer clients and leverage their relationship with other Mercer LOBs in order to drive new business for R&T.
New business development may be direct to the client or may involve using Mercer client and sales managers as a sales channel.
You will primarily be responsible for supporting sales executives within the Career Products business in managing client portfolios. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Daily relationship management with clients within own portfolio
- Creating new business within existing portfolio and new clients
- Contract management & completion upon renewals
- Joining client calls/meetings to develop a strong knowledge of the products business & the challenges facing our clients
- Supporting with upselling of new products to existing clients
- Engaging in sales initiatives prospecting campaigns
The expectation is that the role holder will spend the majority of their time with clients (via facetoface meetings or by telephone).
Attendance at Mercer & nonMercer events to network support in the winning of new business and develop long standing client relationships is also expected.
The R&T business in the UK has a number of existing membership clients. We are looking for an individual to support sales executives with their existing client portfolios and to maintain strong client relationship revenues and grow existing portfolios including their own with the express outcome of increasing their annual spend with Mercer.
What you need to have:
- Demonstrable client relationship/sales experience.
- Proven experience managing relatively senior relationships within large employers
- Track record of managing existing client base.
- Ability to work within an international organisation with excellent communication skills
- IT literate with experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
