Job Description
As a dedicated STACKITEER you are part of the STACKIT Products division. This is where our products and services are developed tested and improved.
The Commerce Platform domain is responsible for all commercial aspects. Our Cost Management team develops services that measure our customers cloud resource consumption prepares this data transparently and thus lays the foundation for billing. We are the central place at STACKIT for the monetization of our cloud. To achieve this we work closely with all product teams. The teams Customer Management and Product Information Management are also part of our domain.
For 2025 we are planning to build a new cost analytics platform that will provide our customers insights into their cloud consumption and related costs. We need to build a scalable system for our desired growth. The new platform should also allow continous analytical use cases. For this we need you in our team. Are you in for this challenge
Your tasks
- As part of a small crossfunctional team you are responsible for everything from concept design and implementation to operation (You build it you run it)
- Together with the product owner you develop the product strategy with your team collect requirements and plan their technical implementation
- In order to replace existing systems you will develop migration strategies and implement them
- You will support and consult our product teams with the connection of the metering and billing systems
- You automate and optimize all technical processes on an ongoing basis
- As an experienced engineer you will coach and mentor your fellow team members in building up and expanding their knowledge
Your profile
- We are looking for team players with a warm heart and and openmind who like to challenge the status quo and constantly develop themselves and their team
- You feel comfortable in a young and dynamically growing company even though or perhaps because there is not yet a process for everything
- Agile software development is your thing as is enthusiasm for cloud technologies
- You are also strong in working conceptually and express your thoughts and ideas in writing
- In your career you have played a key role in the development of distributed and businesscritical systems and ideally also operated them
- As a senior candidate you have ideally worked with Go for quite a while and used it in production systems
- Alternatively you are experienced with some other language such as Java Kotlin or Rust and you want to learn Go
- You are also familiar with infrastructureascode tools such as Terraform Pulumi and Helm
- You are familiar with analytics platforms and handling data at scale
- Modern technologies for cloudnative analytics such as Apache Iceberg for data storage sound familiar to you
- Ideally you have experience with eventbased systems and the necessary technologies for stream processing
- Knowledge about FinOps standards is very welcome but not a must
