The Role

As VP of People Operations you would serve as my right hand and strategic partner in driving how our people strategy shows up across ThredUps distribution center network. You would lead and elevate the People Business Partner function ensuring strong alignment across both our corporate and operations teams. In this role you would also collaborate closely with our VP of People Operations & Total Rewards leveraging your background to ensure our programs land with impact.

Rather than owning the design of our compensation and equity strategies you would be instrumental in how we communicate deploy and embed these programs across the organization. Your voice will help guide how we ensure clarity consistency and trust

What You Would Lead

People Strategy Execution

  • You will build and lead a team of People Business Partners who support our distribution center and operations teams.

  • You will act as a strategic advisor to our leaders helping them scale their organizations thoughtfully and in alignment with our values.

  • You will be the force that turns strategy into execution ensuring our people programs are grounded in inclusion performance and growth.

Total Rewards Alignment & Communication

  • You will draw on your expertise in compensation and equity to shape how we communicate and activate rewards strategies at scale in operations.

  • You will partner with the VP Total Rewards & People Operations to cocreate enablement strategies that drive understanding and confidence in our compensation for both hourly team members and salaried leaders.

  • You will help design the change management roadmap for people programs ensuring that launches are smooth messaging is compelling and employees feel informed and empowered.

CrossFunctional Influence

  • You will act as a connector across the People Leadership Team helping integrate workstreams across rewards operations analytics recruiting workplace experience and L&D.

  • You will help the team stay aligned and agile ensuring our people strategy is coherent and measurable.

  • You will mentor emerging leaders across the People team offering guidance rooted in your operational depth and bigpicture perspective.

Culture & Change Stewardship

  • You will serve as a steward of ThredUps culture especially during periods of organizational evolution.

  • You will ensure our people feel seen heard and supported balancing business goals with human centered leadership.

  • You will bring insights from our people data and listening strategies to shape experiences that matter.
