An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry to join our esteemed clients dynamic team based inStapleton Bristol. This position is available for an immediate start offering competitive rates.
Key Responsibilities:
The Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry will assess and manage individuals with acute and chronic mental health conditions providing comprehensive treatment plans and alternatives to inpatient admission. They will apply the Mental Health Act (MHA) when required prescribe through the electronic prescribing system and ensure accurate and thorough documentation. The doctor will lead a clinical team consisting of social work occupational therapy psychology and ward doctors. They will chair ward rounds CPAs and other professional meetings ensuring HCR20 care plans and consent to treatment assessments are up to date and accurate. The doctor will complete admission assessments liaise with other clinicians to optimise patient pathways and ensure safe discharges from hospital to community prisons and other forensic units. S12 approval and forensic experience within South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLAM) are required.
