We are looking for an Electrical Utility Control Center Supervisor!
This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of a keyarea within our electrical distribution system. The supervisor provides handson guidancefosters team development and ensures operational excellence. This position is ideal forsomeone who thrives in highstakes environments and is passionate about mentoringothers and delivering exceptional service.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead realtime decisionmaking during outages and emergencies coordinating withinternal teams to restore service quickly and safely.
Create a positive customerfocused work environment that emphasizes responsivenessand accountability.
Build a strong safetyfirst culture that encourages professional growth and continuousimprovement.
Develop and implement emergency response strategies for critical events includingnatural disasters and system failures.
Manage daily and longterm work planning ensuring alignment with company goals andoperational needs.
Provide clear direction to staff review performance data and engage in handson supportwhen needed.
Supervise afterhours operations through the Service Dispatch office acting as thecompanys representative to customers.
Partner with Customer Service to ensure consistent communication and service delivery.
Contribute to budget planning and control ensuring efficient use of resources.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent
At least five (5) years of relevant experience
Strong computer and spreadsheet skills
Availability for 24/7 shift coverage
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Postsecondary or technical training in a related field
Prior leadership experience especially with unionized teams
Strong communication and coaching skills
Deep understanding of electric utility operations and emergency response
Familiarity with field roles such as linemen dispatchers and system operators
Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel and Access
Independent proactive and collaborative work style
