Job Summary
As a Radiologic Technologist Training Coach you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Limited Xray learning program educate and supervise students in clinical aspects of performing radiographic examinations demonstrating positioning techniques equipment usage and safety precautions while evaluating student performance and providing additional training as needed. Additionally you will evaluate the effectiveness of the training program provide feedback to improve training initiatives and stay updated on the latest advancements in radiology technology and procedures.
Strong leadership skills a deep understanding of radiology training principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams are essential for success in this role.
Job Requirements
Education Associates degree or higher in Radiologic Science or Radiography
Work Experience 5 years experience in the xray field preferred
Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs
Required Licenses/Certifications American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
Applicable state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of radiologic technology principles practices and procedures
Excellent written verbal communication and presentation skills
Strong organizational and planning skills
Proficiency in MS Office DICOM and EMR systems (EPIC/PACS)
Deep understanding of radiology training principles and practices
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Knowledge of anatomy physiology radiation physics and patient care
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards in radiology training

Essential Functions
Duties/Responsibilities:
Instruct students in the theoretical and practical aspects of radiologic technology including anatomy physiology radiation physics algebra and patient care
Demonstrates proper positioning techniques for various radiographic examinations
Explains the use of different imaging equipment such as portable Xray machines and standalone units
Instructs students on radiation safety protocols and procedures
Supervises students during their clinical rotations providing guidance and feedback on their performance
Assess student competency in performing radiographic procedures
Ensures that students are adhering to safety protocols and procedures
Conduct educational sessions and workshops for Limited Techs (LMXO)
Evaluates student performance and provides constructive feedback to improve their skills
Implement training plans to address specific learning needs
May be involved in developing and grading exams and other assessments
Ensure that all training materials meet industry standards and regulatory requirements
Evaluate training program effectiveness and make continuous improvements based on feedback and performance metrics
Stay current with developments in radiologic technology and update training materials accordingly
Provide ongoing support and guidance to Manager of School Programs Regional Ops and their Xray teams
Follow standards and procedures and comply with legal regulations to maintain a safe secure and healthy work environment.
Ability to travel between locations remote facilities and out of town as needed. May be to perform other duties as needed.
