Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Upholstery Assembler position is responsible for putting the vinyl covers on the production and warranty furniture components and securing them in place.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Installs vinyl covers on furniture parts using various stretching pulling and shaping techniques.
- Staple the covers to the furniture parts by using air powered stapling equipment.
- Inspects finished product for quality upon completion.
- Performs various manual assembly operations such as: trimming hinge installation and foam gluing.
- Collects foam pieces in bundles.
- Operates and performs daily cleaning and maintenance on various assembly machines such as: snap hydem embossing heat transfer and screen printing.
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Preferred Degree: Former Apprenticeship or associates degree preferred
- Experience: 1 year experience preferred but not necessary
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY:
- Ability for rapid mental and muscular depth perception
- Repetitious work
