Desirable Qualifications
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Master of Music in keyboard collaborative arts. Experience coaching classical solo vocal repertoire across a broad range of styles and voice types. Experience playing for vocal recitals. Proficiency in Italian French German Spanish and English lyric diction including a working knowledge of the International Phonetic Alphabet ( IPA ). Understanding of the different stylistic characteristics of vocal music from the baroque period to the present day. Demonstrated success in helping students from historically underrepresented and/or marginalized groups nontraditional students speakers of other languages and students with learning disabilities.
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Masters in music OR Bachelors in music AND Masters in humanities OR Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area. OR The equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education training employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.
