Days: Monday Friday Full Time
Hours: Rotating Shift 7:30 am / 9:30 am
Fulltime: Benefit Eligible
In this role you will:
- Perform a vital part of the patient care process through accurate data entry of patient and specimen information. You will handle patient slides process and stain cytology and bone marrow specimens perform specimen send outs answer phones and be a resource to our clients doctors and other team members. You will also participate in routine laboratory housekeeping tasks.
- Perform and document scheduled preventative maintenance on instruments and stain lines.
- Recognize when troubleshooting is needed and perform such.
- Work in a fastpaced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards working around human tissue samples.
- Champion safety compliance and quality control.
All you need is:
- At minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of laboratory training or experience is preferred.
- Efficient and highly accurate typing reading writing and analytical skills. Should be able to multitask effectively be a selfstarter and monitor own work for quality. Must work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Must work well as part of a team.
- Ability to operate general laboratory equipment including but not limited to: telephones computers automated analyzers centrifuges microscopes and audible alarms
Bonus points if youve got:
- 2 years of laboratory training or experience in a highvolume pathology laboratory.
