Amazon Lab126 is an inventive research and development company that designs and engineers highprofile consumer electronics. Lab126 began in 2004 as a subsidiary of Inc. originally creating the bestselling Kindle family of products. Since then we have produced devices like Fire tablets Fire TV Amazon Echo and Amazon Show.
The Amazon Devices group delivers delightfully unique Amazon experiences giving customers instant access to everything digital or physical. This is a unique technical role where you will have the opportunity to influence invent and design system architecture across multiple product and technology spaces (Alexa devices IoT devices etc.). You will join a team whose mission is to ensure that stateoftheart technologies serving the customer are supported via flexible software architectures OS and Hardware Platform abstraction testability and scalability across multiple device types.
You will be a technical leader who will deliver features and capabilities that app developers will use to build world class experiences for Amazon customers. You will work with teams across every layer of mobile software as well as with app developers to build the right solutions.
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
3 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
