The Opportunity:
We are seeking a strategic datadriven and resultsoriented Associate Director Prospect Development to lead prospect development research and analytics in support of the fundraising goals for UCFs Presidential Transformational and Planned Giving prospects. Reporting to the Executive Director of Advancement Operations this role will oversee a team of prospect research professionals manage complex projects and conduct indepth research on highcapacity prospects across all academic colleges and units.
The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in prospect research and management to drive strategic donor identification and engagement initiatives while supporting development officers in optimizing their prospect portfolios.
Responsibilities:
Advanced Research and Analysis
Conduct comprehensive biographical business and financial research on alumni individuals and potential donors with the capacity to give $1M using a variety of databases inhouse records and public resources.
Develop narrative reports profiles prospect alerts relationship maps charts and graphs to convey insights.
Leadership and Team Management
Lead a team of prospect research professionals including fulltime staff contract services interns and workstudy students.
Develop training materials facilitate training sessions and manage workflows to ensure timely and accurate research deliverables.
Portfolio Management and Data Analysis
Manage research support for Presidential and Executive Team needs providing datadriven insights to optimize prospect portfolios and support fundraising strategy.
Prospect Rating and Data Integrity
Partner with internal stakeholders to research develop assign and maintain prospect ratings.
Assist in strategic planning for electronic wealth screening surveys and data acquisition.
Collaboration and CrossFunctional Coordination
Work closely with Records Management to update biographical and demographic information in the database of record.
Collaborate with development officers and senior leadership to align research efforts with strategic fundraising priorities.
Strategic Planning and Reporting
Contribute to goalsetting and longterm strategic planning for prospect research and data acquisition initiatives.
Assist in identifying data sets and resources to enhance donor identification efforts.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 4 years of related experience and 2 year(s) of leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a higher education or nonprofit environment particularly within a fundraising or development office.
Demonstrated ability to manage a team and oversee complex projects with competing priorities.
Proficiency in prospect research databases such as LexisNexis Iwave Wealth Engine Research Point or similar platforms.
Experience with data analysis tools and CRM systems such as Blackbaud CRM Raisers Edge Salesforce PowerBI or Tableau.
Excellent analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret financial and biographical data and present actionable insights.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on producing clear concise reports.
Proven ability to manage relationships with vendors and collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement datadriven fundraising strategies.
Familiarity with wealth screening portfolio management and data visualization.
Proven ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to develop coordinated research strategies.

The anticipated salary for a wellqualified candidate is $64518 $85000. The final determination of a successful candidates starting salary will vary based on several factors including education and relevant experience. The anticipated pay scale indicated for this position generally applies to candidates who meet the minimum requirements and several of the preferred qualifications outlined above.
