Job Description
Overview
Responsibilities
Conducts a behavioral health assessment to determine the level of care that best fits the patient.
Consults with physicians in the evaluation of psychiatric and/or substance abuse patients to make determinations about care and treatment that are in the best interest of the patient.
Documents and logs patient interactions to assist physicians and other clinical staff in determining the best course of action or in case a provider needs to reference this information.
Communicates with the patient and clinical staff effectively to build a feeling of understanding and trust in order to best get and provide information.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
North Carolina provisional license in one of the following: LCMHC Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) or licensed psychologist.
