Senior Director of Leadership & Annual Giving

Independence Mission Schools (IMS) is seeking a strategic resultsdriven advancement professional to serve as the Senior Director of Leadership & Annual Giving. This individual will lead a growing program that fuels both the IMS networks annual fund and schoolspecific priorities that support academic excellence operational sustainability and programmatic innovation. The Senior Director will be responsible for the design and implementation of a comprehensive annual giving strategy management of a portfolio of leadership annual giving donors and oversight of leadership giving initiatives including donor stewardship appeals and affinity programs. This role will work closely with development colleagues school leaders and Central Office staff to strengthen donor engagement grow annual repeatable sustainable revenue and advance IMSs mission. This position reports to the Executive Director of Advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead a robust annual giving program that includes multichannel appeals donor segmentation strategies digital fundraising and donor retention efforts.
- Manage a personal portfolio of midlevel donors giving between $1000 and $100000 annually cultivating soliciting and stewarding gifts that support the IMS network and individual schools.
- Build launch and manage a Leadership Giving Society including member communications engagement strategies and recognition opportunities.
- Coordinate all direct mail appeals for the network partnering with communications staff and school leaders to create compelling missionaligned content.
- Collaborate closely with the Sponsor a Student Program to ensure a consistent donor experience and maximize donor retention and upgrades.
- Raise funds for both the IMS annual fund and schoolspecific fundraising priorities especially those that provide budget relief or address critical needs outside of the standard operating model.
- Make datainformed decisions track performance metrics maintain accurate donor records and produce reports.
- Supervise the Director Sponsor A Student Program
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required; advanced degree or CFRE preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in annual giving leadership giving or related fundraising roles.
- Demonstrated success managing donor portfolios and soliciting gifts in the $1000$100000 range.
- Experience designing and implementing annual giving strategies and appeals across multiple platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong commitment to donor stewardship.
- Passion for educational equity and the mission of Catholic schools in underserved communities.
- Strong organizational skills attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Raisers Edge or equivalent preferred).
