PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist Assistant Principal in developing and implementing a highquality academic program for students.
2. Assist in supervising all aspects of scholastic achievement of students.
3. Maintain a safe learning environment through proactive support and discipline.
4. Work with faculty and staff to promote a sense of pride and belonging among students.
5. Collaborate with Assistant Principal regarding over student discipline attendance and other student issues.
6. Assist staff in developing a positive learning environment that addresses the needs of all learners.
7. Work with guidance counselors social workers and other support staff to ensure the total development of the students.
8. Maintain close contact with the students homes as well as with the attendance officers.
9. Monitor student attendance and ensure compliance with school committee policies regarding attendance.
10. Assist Assistant Principal in all aspects of maintaining a safe and positive climate for students and staff.
11. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Head of School and Assistant Principal.
REQUIREMENT
1. A Masters degree from an accredited college or university.
2. Licensure valid for service as a teacher in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
3. Licensure valid for service as a Principal/Assistant Principal or Supervisor/Director in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in curriculum and student support services.
5. At least five years successful teaching or related experience.
6. Excellent interpersonal skills.
7. Demonstrated computer proficiency preferred.
8. Excellent problemsolving skills.
Salary: Per LSAA contract
