Amazon Logistics (AMZL) delivery operations are on pace to become one of the largest parcel carriers in the world. This team looks to hire a Senior Program Manager to join our Tech Subject Matter Expert (SME) team.
We are looking for innovative problemsolvers who can work across tech and operations to influence product design drive tool adoption and deliver results at scale. Ideal candidates will have experience leading programs that span data analysis software enhancement and process improvement.
Key job responsibilities
Partner with software product and operations teams to influence tool development and implementation
Translate business needs into clear requirements through BRDs and structured feedback
Analyze performance data to identify trends drive root cause analysis and propose scalable solutions
Champion the adoption of new tools or systems by frontline teams through change management and training support
Act as a liaison between field operations and technical teams to ensure tools meet user needs
Contribute to process standardization and continuous improvement across the AMZL network
Participate in testing rollout and scaling of technology solutions in delivery stations or fulfillment centers
A day in the life
You will work with operational teams (Engineering Quality Execution) and technical teams (Software Engineers Product Managers) to drive deliverables according to the operational plan. This includes participating in the cyclical responsibilities of a program including building the vision and requirements testing new software and processes and deploying solutions network wide. In addition to this you will support Ops deep dives to identify root causes and the right solutions that can address the issue at scale.
About the team
The Last Mile Tech Subject Matter Expert (SME) Team bridges the gap between technical and nontechnical stakeholders for new technology implementation. They provide expertlevel support resolve complex technical issues and ensure smooth system adoption through targeted training and documentation. The team excels at translating technical concepts into businessfriendly language while optimizing system performance and integration. As technical liaisons they work closely with development teams and end users to maximize technology investments and minimize operational disruptions. Their expertise is crucial for successful technology rollouts and sustained system effectiveness.
Bachelors degree in supply chain business engineering finance or related technical or quantitative field
5 years of program or project management experience
5 years of owning program strategy end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
Experience working cross functionally with nontech teams
Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g. pivot tables & charts multiple criteria lookups nested logical/IF formulas data cleansing array formulas etc.)
Masters degree or MBA in business operations human resources adult education organizational development instructional design or related field
2 years of driving process improvements experience
PMP
Advanced knowledge of analytical tools such as SQL Tableau MS Excel or Microsoft Access
Demonstrable problemsolving mathematic and analytical skills using data to drive decisions in a business environment
Demonstrated experience and proficiency in effective communication of goals and strategies across multiple leadership levels of an organization
Proven ability to influence internal/external stakeholders without authority to adopt new processes/initiatives
High attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple competing projects and priorities simultaneously

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
