Position Overview
As a Behavior Technician you will provide oneonone inhome ABA therapy to children with autism and other developmental challenges. Your role will be instrumental in helping children gain essential life skills foster independence and develop positive social behaviors through personalized interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide handson support during daily routines playtime and communitybased activities
- Promote skill development and independence during every session
- Implement and support behavior intervention plans created by a BCBA
- Record session data behavior metrics and progress updates accurately
- Maintain consistent communication with supervisors and take part in ongoing training and supervision
- Ensure adherence to safety guidelines privacy practices and HIPAA compliance
- Assist with light housekeeping or transportation tasks when necessary
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred)
- Valid driver s license proof of insurance and dependable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs actively move (e.g. standing kneeling floor sitting) and respond quickly when needed
- Willing to travel up to 30 minutes for client sessions
- Commitment to earning Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 90 days comprehensive training provided
- Must pass a criminal background check
