We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant General Surgeon to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will provide expert surgical care lead complex procedures mentor junior medical staff and contribute to the hospital s academic and administrative development. The role demands a commitment to high clinical standards compassionate patient care and continuous professional development.
Care and management of specialty cases. Evaluate patients and implement appropriate medical treatment plans.
Attend to emergency calls as they arise.
Conduct regular and emergency ward rounds especially for critically ill patients.
Run specialist outpatient clinics.
Document all evaluations treatments medications and clinical procedures per hospital policy.
Develop and ensure adherence to clinical practice guidelines and care pathways.
Perform surgical procedures as approved under clinical privileges.
Supervise medical officers and nursing staff as required.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnoses treatment options outcomes discharge plans and billing.
Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely preparation of discharge summaries certificates medication and appointments.
Handle patient grievances with professionalism and empathy.
Stay current with the latest surgical practices and medical innovations through CME research and training.
Mentor and manage junior staff.
Maintain an active portfolio of CPD (Continuing Professional Development) activities.
Present clinical and nonclinical topics at internal hospital meetings.
Comply with all medical regulatory standards and legal codes of conduct.
Perform duties as assigned by the Head of Department or Medical Director/Chief Medical Officer.
Participate in hospital committees as designated.
Comply with institutional policies protocols and clinical standards.
Proven professional competence in general surgery.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Teaching and mentoring capabilities.
Ability to remain calm and decisive in emergencies.
Respect for patient autonomy and ethical medical practice.
Collaborative and professional demeanor with colleagues and hospital staff.
A valid medical license and relevant certifications.
Minimum of 5 7 years postqualification experience in a similar role preferred.
