Job Description

Director Finance U.S Retail is the key finance business partner to the GM and Vice President of the Moen BusinesstoConsumer vertical who will manage and lead all commercial related activities with a focus on driving operational excellence and above market growth.  This role will also play a pivotal role supporting the  product development and channel marketing efforts and will be a key contact for the FP&A team into the business units reporting to the Vice President Finance Water. 

Position location:  This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule based out of Deerfield IL. Effective mid2025 Fortune Brands will transition to a new worldclass campus in Deerfield bringing together associates from across our U.S. offices brands and functions. The campus will offer vibrant workspaces for collaboration along with amenities for dining onsite daycare fitness and recreation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead as the Finance partner for the GM Moen Business to Business (B2C) and their leadership team that focuses on Retail and eCommerce channels
  • Be a leader on the Water BU finance team that works cross functionally with the team to aggregate the full Water Segment story and ensure actions are on track to deliver the desired result
  • Primary business partner to the B2C sales organization by providing financial guidance and insights to ultimately measure and enhance performance.    
  • Own the development and delivery of the B2C P&L managing costs and ensuring returns on investments 
  • Be the key connection point from FP&A into the BU finance team and own the oversight and consolidation of the annual and strategic planning process. 
  • Develop a deep understanding of the market and customer trends to help drive proactive actionable insights into the business to help influence strategy and drive longterm shareholder value.
  • Develop deep understanding of customer gross to net programs oversee gross to net calculation and accuracy within GAAP and partner with teams to optimize spend.
  • Manage and continuously improve down channel reporting received from external customers ensuring we provide proactive actionable insights to sales leadership and other key business partners.
  • Manage and ensure accuracy of all rebate and commission reporting monthly and quarterly sales reporting and other adhoc analysis for the segment.
  • Partner with business intelligence team to ensure accuracy of current reporting and drive improvement opportunities automation & enhancements to manage performance.
  • Manage a team of Financial Analysts delegating and prioritizing deliverables while actively participating in their career and personal development. 
  • Additional projects and focus as assigned by VP Finance Water

 


    Qualifications :

    Required Qualifications: 

    • Bachelors degree in finance accounting or related field required. Masters degree preferred. 
    • 710 years of experience in finance accounting or related field required. 10 years of experience preferred.
    • 5 years of management experience required.
    • Must possess strong communication (oral and written) and analytical skills with ability to communicate detailed analysis into relevant clear and concise information leading to actionable initiatives.
    • Strong understanding of P&L management financial modeling investment evaluation and cost optimization strategies.
    • Ability to influence others in a highly crossfunctional and matrix environment
    • Requires strong leadership and management skills with experience managing and developing finance talent.
    • Strong financial acumen broad business skill set and strong strategic thinking capabilities.
    • Process Improvement driven mindset
    • Highly articulate and can communicate effectively with various levels in an organization including senior leaders.
    • Proficiency with Excel modeling and data management as well as PowerPoint
    • Knowledge of business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau Anaplan Power BI) and financial modeling software


    Additional Information :

    Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $140000 USD $220000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range or be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to education training experience professional achievement business need and location. In addition to base salary employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a rolebased sales incentive plan.
