Job Description

As a Laundry Supervisor for the Westgate Vacation Villas Resort you will oversee the daily laundry operations and resort guidelines ensuring highquality standards and complete guest satisfaction.

As a Laundry Supervisor you will: 

  • Supervise and motivate all laundry personnel including staffing training discipline and scheduling.
  • Visually monitor performance to ensure adherence to all service and productivity standards ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Sort and count articles to verify inventory quantities.
  • Maintain chemical inventory.
  • Prepare weekly schedules for laundry personnel to ensure adequate staffing.
  • Assign laundry pickups from rooms and properties.
  • Supply the Housekeeping Department with the correct inventory of linens and supplies for checkouts.
  • Ensure all equipment is working properly and cleaned daily.
  • Report work orders promptly when maintenance is required.
  • Administer policies fairly and consistently completing disciplinary procedures and documentation according to policy.
  • Ensure the quality and productivity of Laundry Attendants and Wash Persons are met.
  • Train employees; plan assign and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.

Qualifications :

  • Possesses a strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Must be comfortable working in a hot environment
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must have proof of a valid drivers license
  • Westgate is a Smoke and TobaccoFree workplace. Except where prohibited by law applicants who smoke or use tobacco products will not be considered for the position
  • Required to pass a background check drug test and prove eligibility to work in the United States
