Job Description

Link Solutions is seeking a Windows System Administrator (AssociateLevel) to join our MidShift (hours details below) team in Sierra Vista Arizona. 

  • Must be a US Citizen 
  • Nonremote (relocation incentive available)

The Windows System Administrator will support the Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) at Fort Huachuca AZ and be responsible for installing managing and upgrading Windowsbased secure systems and servers. You will work across many teams and highlevel managers in the organization to design lead manage maintain and track assets deploy implement troubleshoot and support the workforce environment. You will provide onsite support as necessary to ensure all network capabilities are available.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide tier 1 and 2 support to a global information system.
  • Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems.
  • Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems.
  • Sets up administrator and service accounts.
  • Maintains system documentation.
  • Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
  • Make recommendations to purchase hardware/software coordinate installation and provide backup recovery.
  • Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
  • Develop and implement testing strategies and document results.
  • Provides advice and training to endusers.
  • Provides guidance and work leadership to lessexperienced staff members.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

Shift Information: 

  • MIDs
  • Sunday Wednesday 
  • 10:00 PM to 8:30 AM

Qualifications :

  • US Citizen 
  • Must have an active DoD Security Clearance.
  • IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security CE CCNA Security GICSP GSEC SSCP etc.).
  • One (1) year or more of directly related experience in systems administration or a similar role.
  • Computing environment certification in VMware (VCPDCV) or Cisco (CCNPDC) within 60 days of hire.

Preferred:

  • AA/AS degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field with a comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts.
  • Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) server experience.
  • PowerShell scripting experience.
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
  • A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
  • Strong selfstarter requiring minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
