Job Description
Key Responsibilities
WebLogic Administration
: Manage and maintain WebLogic Server environments including installation configuration and tuning.
System Analysis
: Analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability addressing challenges such as user session persistence and session transfer issues.
Performance Monitoring
: Continuously monitor system performance identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to enhance system efficiency and observability.
Collaboration and Training
: Work with crossfunctional teams to understand system requirements and provide training on WebLogic best practices.
Documentation
: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation on system configurations procedures and troubleshooting guides.
Resilience Engineering
: Implement solutions to improve system resilience such as clustering WebLogic components enabling session persistence and improving observability.
Automation and SelfHealing
: Develop and implement automation scripts for selfhealing and monitoring including automated restarts and observabilitybased monitoring.
Disaster Recovery
: Enhance RTO/RPO with HOTWARM strategies and automated disaster recovery processes.
Experience
815 years of experience in software engineering or system administration with a focus on WebLogic Server management and administration.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in WebLogic Server administration and related tools.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python Bash) for automation.
Strong knowledge of Java EE applications and middleware technologies.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure) and container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes).
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus Grafana).
Experience with incident response and root cause analysis.
Knowledge of Oracle RAC ASM for storage and Dataguard for replication.
Desired Skills
Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Ability to mentor and train junior engineers on WebLogic practices.
Commitment to continuous learning to stay updated with the latest WebLogic techniques and tools.
Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins Ansible Terraform.
Experience with chaos testing and resilience engineering practices.
