Structural Bridge Engineer / Inspector

AECOM is currently seeking a talented Structural Bridge Engineer / Inspector to support our bridge inspection practice in our Conshohocken PA office. AECOM often wins contracts to inspect and analyze some of the most complex and interesting longspan bridges in the area although we also inspect vast numbers of less complex bridges.  This important role offers participation in a variety of challenging projects and a dynamic work environment due to the number type and size of bridges that make up the vast portfolio of the experienced bridge group this engineer will be joining.

The responsibilities for this position include but may not be limited to the following:

• Load rating analysis tasks will include the use of commercial bridge analysis software as well as occasional finite element modeling. 
• Inspection tasks will include handson field observation of a variety of structural systems and documentation of defects.
• Structural analysis of bridges. 
• Working in the field performing handson bridge safety inspections
• Field inspection work.
• Significant amount of office responsibilities which include developing load rating calculations and models field inspection reports bridge repair recommendations and repair schemes and cost estimates.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements

• BA/BS in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering plus 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• PE License in Pennsylvania
• NBIS Certified Bridge Inspector Credentials
• Experience using MS Office AASHTOWare and finite element modeling software
• Valid US Drivers License is required for this position. As a condition of employment selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review 
• Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous relevant USACE experience
